Merry Christmas!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas.  May your family and friends be blessed with good health and a successful 2010.  We had a rough year with jobs and income but have been blessed in other areas of our lives.  We have a wonderful, healthy, baby boy that we love dearly.  Words cannot express the joy this little man has brought to us.  We are not sure where we will find ourselves living over this next year.  Trent is looking for work wherever he can find it.  That may relocate us to California, Vegas, and possibly Florida.  We will keep you updated.  I'm hoping to stay in Salt Lake because my family is close by, but I will go wherever we are meant to be.
Below are some pics of Brennan on his blessing day and then him with his best friend, Gary (Michelle Barber Lyhnakis's son).  Love you all and have a Happy Holiday season!!

My handsome little man!

Brennan is now 7 weeks old.  He had is Well Check appointment and they said that he is now 10 lbs and 22 1/2 inches long.  His head and height fall in the 95 percentile and his weight is in the 75 percentile.  He is now starting to look when he hears sounds and responds very well to us, Chewy, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Ashley.  He is grasping on toys, finally taking a binky, and is smiling and laughing.  I am back to work with Drill and I also teach dance tuesday afternoons at a daycare while Ashley babysits.  Trent is still working on Snirk and we're hoping it takes off real soon.  I'm loving life as a mom and can't imagine my life without this little guy.  It's still tough because he loves to be held--makes it hard for me to get a chance to shower or use the bathroom.  And...he is still sleeping with us :(  The goal is to have him in his own bed by the end of Thanksgiving weekend.  I may need sitters just so I can have my hands free to clean my house, do my Interior Design, etc.  Let me know--haha.  But I wouldn't trade these moments for anything in the world!!

Brennan is 5 weeks!

Wow...time is flying.  It has been quite an adjustment having this little guy in our
lives, but we just love it.
I can't believe how fast he is growing!!

Here he is with Papa Lamb

Look at those BIG eyes!!

My Little Pumpkin.  He hated that hat, but looked darling in it.

Fell asleep in our bed (as usual).  He just realized I got out of bed and he's
about to start screaming because he's alone :(

Brennan is already 2 weeks old!

We have already hit 2 weeks with having Brennan. He is such a blessing to have in our home. It's amazing that you can love something and/or someone sooooo much. Here are some recent pics. He is already growing too fast. I remember saying that I couldn't wait until he was 6 months, 1 year, etc. But I already wish I could freeze time--it's already moving so fast. We love you little man!!

Chewy trying to help out.

Look at those BIG eyes.  Just like Dad.

Falling asleep on Dad.

Again, Chewy helping us out.

He always has a hand by his face when he sleeps.  I love this little monkey.

Trent multi-tasking.  What a great Dad.

What a FUN weekend!!

First things first...we should now have this baby anywhere between now and October 7th. If he decides that he's just too comfy in me, then they will induce me on October 7th. I'm hoping and crossing my fingers that he comes out sooner (like tonight). All is well. He is healthy and so am I. He's just not in any rush...too bad his momma is. My best friend of 24 years had her baby boy, Gary, yesterday. Congratulations Michelle and Vasili. It made us so excited to meet our little guy. I can't wait to have the 2 little dudes meet and become BFF's like their moms. Here is hopefully my last tummy picture...I'm getting HUGE.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to the love of my life. We kept things pretty low-key this year. We did some spa treatments and then went to dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. With baby on the way, we didn't want to leave town or stay overnight anywhere...next year we'll do something bigger. We are just happy that September 21st is still OUR day and that we won't have to worry about competing with our little boy's birthday each year.

I love you, Trent!! I'm so grateful for you and the love that we share. I'm so excited for this journey with you by my side!!

We went to the Utah State Fair over the weekend. Trent has never been. I made him go down the Big Yellow Slide, eat a funnel cake, and people watch. It will be a fun tradition each year! We are excited to take our little guy next year to see all the animals--we'll add the circus to that next year also!!

It's on like Donkey Kong

We are winding down with only 18 days left. I am so excited to meet this little guy. Although pregnancy has been fun, I'm ready to be done. And yet, people continue to remind me to enjoy it while I can. I guess at some point I'll understand what they are talking about. The nursery is ready, the clothing is washed, Chewy is prepped...we just need the baby. We are still throwing around name ideas...so, it won't be decided until he is born. You will just have to wait and see. Please keep us in your prayers. We are hoping for a very healthy boy both mentally and physically. Also, that there will not be any complications for me or him. I've heard so many horror stories lately and really need some reassurance so that I'm not nervous--or am I just excited. Probably a mix. Anyway...hopefully the next blog will include a pic of our new baby boy Staggs. Thanks to all who have been so helpful and gracious with gifts and advice!!

Maternity Pics

So...I'm not a fan of the bare belly maternity pics. I really didn't want to document in pictures what my belly looks like right now, but here are some pics Chad Braithwaite took for us. I love them. The best part is...there are more--better ones even--that we are putting in a book for our little guy. This book will document our little man's first year of life. Enjoy!!

My favorite!!

5 weeks to go...

Here we are, counting down. We only have 5 weeks left until little Paxton gets here (that's his name unless something changes between now and looking at him at birth). It hasn't been too bad of a pregnancy. Hopefully he's as good outside as he's been on the inside. It's just the heat that has gotten to me. Braxton Hicks contractions have been going since 20 weeks but now are more consistent and the "real" contractions have now just started--they only happen at night and they are waking me up. Yikes--we are close. I'll get some updated pics on the nursery posted real soon. My nesting stage has kicked in big time the past couple days. Speaking of the nursery...

Chewy jumped into the crib, by himself. Yes, he really did. There was nothing stacked on the sides for him to climb up and there are no scratches on the crib. So, there's no sign that he was struggling to get in. He really wanted that giggling bear that you can see in the pic. Things could get interesting!!

I just wanted to add some cute pics of my girls. They really are a talented group and I look forward to a successful year. Good Luck ladies!!

8 weeks to go...

We are at countdown. Officially, we only have 55 days to go...Time has really flown by. I can't believe that this little guy will be with us in no time. I've had 2 baby showers and 4 to go. I'm so grateful for the help/gifts that my friends and family have given and are giving to us. We should be well prepared when he comes--and he will be pretty spoiled. I'm HOT as can be and don't sleep very well at night, but I guess I'll be prepared for the upcoming sleepless nights. Chewy is loving all the gifts I put in the nursery--he thinks they are all for him--his favorite are the blankets. It will be interesting to see how this baby affects and changes the lives of all 3 of us!!

30 weeks

Large and in charge is what I like to think...haha. We have now hit 30 weeks. Only 10 more to go (hopefully 7-10 weeks...no more, no less). We still haven't decided on a name for this little guy. It's gone from Cash to Bridger to Paxton to Trent Jace (TJ--that's Trent's fave). For now, he is just Little Man or Peanut.

Ashley and Brad were married this past week. She looked beautiful and everything was wonderful. It was fun to see the last of the Lamb brood get married. I love you sis and Good Luck in life!!

Trent and I just got back from Seattle. It was our last fly-away vacation before the baby gets here. We had the chance to meet up with Trent's parents and see a city neither one of us has been to. Trent's parents live in Dallas and went on an Alaskan cruise (Seattle was their last port). We thought it would be fun to spend some time with them in such a cool city--and it was! We did all the tourist stuff--plenty of walking. Not fun for a 7 month old prego, but it was worth it!!

We went to the Space Needle, the Aquarium (very cool), Bainbridge Island, Pikes Place Market, and ate at great restaurants. We highly suggest the Clam Chowder at Ivars Restaurant. I loved this city because my fave TV show takes place here (Grey's Anatomy), and also, it's not too far from where Twilight took place. Trent is now convinced that we should live there--well, Bainbridge Island. We'll see about that...
