MEMORIES OF BLAZE

Although my time with Blaze was cut short, here are some pics to add to the fun times we did have. I'm really bummed that I won't get to spend more time with these girls. They are great and extremely talented. We really had a lot to show for this year. This would have been the best group of Blaze dancers you have seen, EVER!! Here's to next year--if a baby doesn't come first. Above is our Christmas party!

KJZZ appearance on Powerhouse with Alema Harrington.

First official team photo--that no one else will ever see. Sorry it's not very clear--Faces Photography only sent me a sample. My best friend, Chad Braithwaite, is the owner and has done incredible pics for Blaze, my drill team, my wedding, and my family. We love you Chad!!

No more Blaze...

So...the AFL suspended the 2009 for the entire league. I will not be able to participate on the Utah Blaze dance team. I'm soooo sad. But I guess there's something else in store for me. We'll see. If everything worked out, I would get prego and have a baby by September, lose the baby weight, and then audition for the 2010 Blaze dancers. But that would only happen in a perfect world. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we continue to go through life changes and work changes--Trent's still looking. Love you all and hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.

My Guys!!

I thought that these recent pics were way too cute,
I just had to post them.

I thought he looked like a vampire--in celebration of Twilight.
But he actually looks like a walrus--haha!!
Chewy has really taken to Trent.
Trent is working from home and our little
guy is always following Trent and
now he does whatever Trent does.
Luckily, Trent is really taking to Chewy-finally :)
(But he won't admit that)

The Way We Were...

I found some pics that I wanted to share. These include recent, wedding, and one from Michelle and Vasili's wedding. Enjoy!!!

Picked this one for our Christmas Card.
From our wedding announcement--not the best quality.

I love, love, love this pic. Taken at the Wells Fargo Building.

Another one from our wedding announcement. I remember exactly what I said to him right before this pic was taken.

My little ladies. I adore these little girls and love them with all my heart. I can't wait to have a little girl of my own.

Michelle and Vasili's wedding...2005. Wow...this one is old.

So....
I decided that I wanted to add something
more to my list of THINGS TO DO.
I am a BLAZE DANCER for the 2009 Utah
Blaze indoor football team. Why not?
I was getting the itch to perform again.
But don't worry--after the season is over,
it's finally time for a baby. Come to the games...
they are actually a lot of fun.
And please don't make fun of my lovely
costumes and out of shape tummy.

Ready for Christmas?

Chewy always lives up to his name.
We gave him this teddy bear and he went to town on this poor guy's back.
Doesn't he look like he's ready for Christmas?!

We got him neutered today--I think he's mad at me. We hope this helps his hyperactivity. We love it when he cuddles and plays, but we struggle when he's a terror. Just like a child? Then I guess we're ready!!!

WE SURVIVED!!

September 21st marked our 1st year anniversary. We had a great 1st year together as Mr and Mrs Staggs. We have had a lot of change with jobs and life, but have had a blast together with traveling, etc. Everyone has said how hard the first year was, but we really made it through smooth sailing. I'm crossing my fingers that it continues for the next 50+ years. I love Trent with all my heart and am so thankful that he chose me as his companion. I look forward to starting our family and moving through life as each other's constant support. Here are some pics from the anniversary. We went to Park City on the 20th and shopped all day. We then went to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (very good, but very expensive). We spent the evening at the Little America (this is where we stayed on our wedding night). On our anniversary, we had a couples massage and just hung out together. It was a great weekend!!!

Update on our baby...

Our little guy is such a punk...
This is how he treats my parents' dog, Buddy.

Our little guy thinks he is so much bigger than he really is.
We thought we'd give him a hickory smoked bone for good

bathroom behavior...

He ended up with a BBQ mustache. haha!!!

Reunion

So...I missed my 10 year reunion due to a bday
trip down to St. George with my Trent.
Luckily, we had the chance to reconnect with
some of my good friends this past weekend at
a BBQ at Derk's house.
We really need to do this at least quarterly.
It's always fun catching up with everyone.
We missed you Brett, Stacy, Kim, Nick, etc.
Me and the lovely Steph Crump Harper
Jill and her hubby Joe.
Jared and Derk.
Jared's wife--Alisa and Derk's wife--Kim
I love these ladies. I'm so glad you
married into the circle.

Thanks again for a fun evening. See you all at

our Halloween Party October 25th. More info to follow.

cha cha cha changes...

It's really weird that I'm in such a new stage of my life. Working at the school is actually keeping me busier than I thought. At least I'm saving gas by staying in 1 spot. It's nice because I work 6am-2pm, do some of my schooling from home, and then 1 afternoon a week I teach dance. I might take some tennis classes and dance classes of my own to keep me in shape. PS...I may try out for Blaze Dancers--we'll see. Trent is going through some job changes as well. He's now working with a distressed real estate company--we're crossing our fingers that this big deal goes through. We might be building a new home in South Jordan if all goes right. Here's to bigger and better...

and...this just in. Our dog can fly. He can get such hops now, he can't even stay in his room because he can jump the baby gate. Well...Trent and I were out of the living room for literally 1 minute when we came back to this:

Thank you soooooo much Dr. Maymi for everything the past 10 years. It's been great. This is such a bittersweet moment in my life and I'm grateful for your support. You're like a 2nd father to me. Thanks for the goodbye dinner last night.

It's True

SHERI AND GRETTA
WHITNAYYYYY
MY CRAZY GIRLS...LOVE YOU!!

I officially no longer work at the dental office. I now work at THS doing Drill Team and then tracking and security. It's nice to be in 1 spot--less driving. I enjoy Dance/Drill and wanted to continue doing that. My future career will be in Interior Design. I just started studying through the Sheffield School located in NYC. It's online training and I can move at my own pace. I'm hoping to be finished within a year. I have always loved decorating but never fully persued it because I also loved dance and dental. Thank you to all my past co-workers. You really were the best friends ever. I love you ladies and miss you like crazy.

NYC

Trent and I had a chance to head back to NYC for our 4th trip together (my 10th). We went with our friends Bonnie and Yella and had a fabulous time. We got to see the broadway show Spamalot--hillarious (where we also got to meet Drew Lachey), saw some tourist spots (for the hundreth time), walked EVERYWHERE, rubbed the bull's balls on Wall Street for financial luck, and attended the US Open (where the cast of Entourage, Trent's favorite show, was attending). We always have a good time in NYC. We wish we could live there. Maybe when we're millionaires!!!

Corner Canyon Fire

I'm sure you all heard, but yesterday there was a huge fire in Corner Canyon--Draper. This fire was a 1/2 mile from our home. I rushed home from work as soon as they said that they were evacuating homes. I wanted to make sure I could grab my most prized possessions--which is my whole home and everything in it. When I got home, Chewy had already jumped over the fence guarding his room--which he does everyday anyway (we think he may have the ability to fly). I swooped him up and gave him a big hug and started frantically thinking of what we would need to pack up. There was no smoke in the house or smell of it. The winds was pushing everything North of us. Luckily, there was no word of evacuation for our neighborhood. I hoped all night that the winds wouldn't change direction and have the fire head our way. This fire has really made me think about what would we do in such an emergency and how lucky we were that we would even have time to make the decision of what to take. We are very grateful for the firefighters that are helping save our home and our neighborhood. We are lucky to still have our home and neighborhood standing!!

New Pics

More New Pics

Last weekend, Trent took me to St. George for an early celebration of my 28th Birthday. We played some tennis and got to see Les Mis at Tuahcahn. It was an okay show in my opinion. Trent loved it when he saw it in NYC. I just think that it is too sad of a show. Anyway...above are some fun pics of us goofing around and some new pics of Chewy. He is doing sooo much better. It turns out that he had Giardia (a stomach virus that causes vomiting and diahrreah). After taking his antibiotics, training is so much better. He is adorable. Very high maintainence, but adorable.
