Time for a little catch-up

Here we are at 23 weeks. We are just entering the 6th month and gearing up for the HOT summer. Don't worry...the freezer is stocked with Otter Pops. I painted the nursery on Memorial Day (a dark tan) and we are ordering all the furniture. We are going with a green and brown nursery--the bedding is green with monkeys as the accent. We are still choosing names. Help us with our options: Cash Philip, Trent Jace (or TJ), Brennan Trent, or Bridger Trent. I always had my girl names picked out so boy names are tough for me.


We had a chance to go to the Homestead over Memorial Day weekend. Trent ran a 15K in under an hour and a half. We got to go with some good friends, the Estradas. We had a fun time and relaxed quite a bit.

I had to add this picture...this is from our year-end Drill Banquet. This is all the seniors and the coaches. I will miss these girls a lot. They were such a great group to work with. I wish them the best of luck!!

My little sister is getting married July 15th. I'm so excited for her and have been able to help her with the planning (I love planning weddings, parties, events, etc.--use me if you want--no consultant fees yet). I may just have to use my Interior Design Skills to do Event Planning instead--we'll see. At this point, I'll take whatever the economy will hand me. Anyway...I got the chance to take their engagement pics. They turned out pretty good. Maybe I'll add this to the list of hobbies (not careers) once I get a very nice camera.

yay for good news...

So...the baby bump is getting bigger--yikes. But it's great because I'm finally gaining weight so we can have this healthy little baby.

We had an ultrasound today and they said that my actual due date is Sept. 26th. I love that this pregnancy just seems shorter and shorter everyday. And finally...our little "peanut" finally has an identity--no longer a food product. Baby Boy Staggs will be joining our already testosterone driven family. I am now outnumbered. Right now, his name will be Cash (Cash Trent or Cash Philip). But we'll see as time goes on!!

We celebrated Trent's 35th Bday this weekend. On Friday, we got massages and hung out just the two of us. On Saturday, we had a BBQ with some close friends. And on Sunday (yes his actual bday was on Mother's Day), we spent the day together around the house and then went over to my mom's to celebrate Mother's Day. It was a great weekend!!
