Sorry for the delay!!

Ok...so I have fallen behind on my blogging.  We have been super busy--lame excuse, but it's so true.  I'll do a quick update of what has happened since July.  Our bad luck has continued (see pic below) but since my 30th birthday luau (see above pic), I feel that life is taking a turn for the best.  Now, we just need Trent to get a job :)

Here is the family at Grandma Lamb's funeral.  We are so blessed to have had such a wonderful woman in our lives.  This passing was expected, but still not easy.  The older you get, the harder it gets to cope with death.  This has been 3 deaths within 4 months of people that are extremely close to me and Trent.  We can only hope the "curse of 3" ends here or at least goes away for a while.

Brennan Bug turned 1 at the end of September.  We did a "BUG" theme and it was great.  He loved the cake and opening the presents.  Thanks to all of you who came!!

Trent's sister and kids moved into our basement apartment.  It's been fun having more little kids around so that Brennan has playmates, but also for him to become close to his cousins.  It's also been fun having his sis around.  We take turns watching each others kids so that we don't go insane.  We have also shared in making dinner for each other.  It's almost like having a sister wife--haha.

Here are my two guys just hanging out!!  Oh...how cute are they?!

One last, important, thing.  We were sealed as a family in the Salt Lake Temple on mine and Trent's 3rd anniversary.  It was such a wonderful experience and I'm so glad that we finally did this.  Brennan has changed my complete outlook on life and I feel like this was the right decision for our family.

Here are some family pics taken out at the Great Salt Lake.  Thanks Chad B. @ Faces!!!

The Zoo...

Look at our little "Super" kid.  He is growing by leaps and bounds.

We had the chance to visit the zoo the other day and take his good friend, Gabby.  We got to see Baby Zuri, the giraffes, and many more animals.  Brennan's eyes got really big when he saw the elephants, monkeys, and giraffes.  Other than that, he really didn't get it.  Oh well...We'll have more fun next year at the zoo.

Catching up...

Brennan is growing like crazy.  At his 9 month well check (7/29), he was in the 75 percentile for weight, 97 percentile for head and height!  He is already in 12 month clothes.  We are in trouble...he is going to be a big kid.  He loves swimming, playing on his Buzz Lightyear car, playing at Little Gym, and playing with Chewy.

The 4th of July was a blast.  We spent it with our good friends, the Estradas, up in Park City and also at a Bees game.  Brennan wasn't too sure about the fireworks :)

Trent is now selling insurance, so if you need any (life, car, home, etc), please call him for a quote 801-403-7001.  We are in desperate need of some work especially with me out of school for the summer.  We hope all is well with our family and friends.  Have a safe and fun summer!!

Sandi Staggs

Words cannot express how much this woman means to me.  She is the wonderful mother of my husband and an incredible grandmother.  I couldn't ask for a better mother-in-law.  She has been battling cancer for the past 8 years.  She is my hero and an incredible example of how we should enjoy every moment.  Thank you, Sandi.  I love you!!!

My loves...

Just a few more of my pics that I've been taking/playing with my camera.

Senior Pics

So, I had the chance to test out my photo taking skills and editing skills.  These are one of my Chirons and her senior pics.  I love how we lucked out with natural lighting.  I still have some practice--and then a new camera this summer.  Let me know if you want to help me out.  Thanks, Shelby, for your modeling.  Oh...and don't take pics on railroad tracks--haha.  That's another story for another day.  UTA came after me for this.

Click

Click on the ads in our blog...help us out.  The more you click, the bigger a check we receive so we can help this little guy go to college :)

Kaitlyn Mariah Adams

I had the privilege of getting to coach my very own Guardian Angel.  Kaitlyn Adams was diagnosed with Cancer at the young age of 11.  She battled the Cancer for 5 years and passed away 4/12/10.  Kaitlyn was a sophomore on the Taylorsville Chirons.  She wasn't able to dance all year until 3 weeks ago when she finally competed her solo in NYC.  She was fantastic and received a standing ovation.  It's amazing how one person can change so many lives.  Her courage and strength has helped many to realize that there is so much more to life--love your family, friends, and most of all, your passion.  She will never be forgotten.  She has taught me so much.  I love you Kait and miss you!  Win that Drill Down in heaven.

Look at us...

We have been pretty busy with life lately.  Trent is now back doing some real estate and mortgages;  I'm still busy with Drill and Dance; SNIRK is still in the works and so is my website, What to Wear; and Brennan is still growing like crazy.  He is rolling over real well, talking up a storm, and starting to eat solid foods.  He is loving green beans, peas, and carrots so much more than that rice cereal.  Chewy is still getting into things and tearing stuffed animals to shreds.  Our house is for sale and under contract.  We will be out of it by May or June.  Hopefully we can make a decision on where to purchase.  We may just rent until the time is right--any ideas of rentals??  There are a lot listed, but nothing that I would want to live in...I know, call me a snob.  But it is hard trying to find something nice enough--I know it won't be anything like we already live in, but I would like something and somewhere nice--I'm talking convenience too.  It makes more sense for us to go a little further north and not too far west--being somewhat close to the freeway is a plus!!  We also have some fun trips coming up.  I'll tell you about them as they near.  Anyway...that's all for now.  Below are some pics of Brennan eating, finally sleeping in his crib, and a head shot of Trent (which I took--taking on that hobby--don't ask me to do it for money--yet :)

Soooo BIG...

It has been a while since I last blogged.  So, here is an update of what's new and exciting in the Staggs' Home.  Brennan is now 4 months old.  At his last Well-Check appt, he was in the 90th percentile for his head, 95th for his height, and 75th for his weight.  We've got a big kid with big brains!!  He is rolling from his tummy to his back and sometimes his back to his tummy.  He sits up pretty well with support and has just started rice cereal.  He started his Little Gym class the other day and he just LOVED it!!  It is so fun to see the excitement in his face when he goes to that class and gets to play with toys and interact with other babies.

Since Christmas, we have gone to Cali and my chaos of drill is over (but as always, never ends).  My girls took 3rd in our region with our military routine taking a 1st over Bingham--that is almost unheard of.  We were stoked!!  We took 10th overall at the 5A State competition--which is AWESOME!!  I'm proud of my ladies and looking forward to another year and winning the National Title in NYC this March.

While in Cali, we looked at areas to move to--but found that we'd rather own in Vegas.  So the plan is to buy property in Vegas and rent in Utah for another year (with several trips to Vegas).  After a year of renting, we'll either move to Vegas or (cross your fingers) buy our dream home in Nelson Farms (South Jordan--we're hoping the cost comes down a ton, since it has already).

Trent is still working on Snirk--he has landed some pretty big companies to work with.  It has become more of a software company now that is taking off for quite a few people.  If you do hair or massages, etc., check out the site.  It may help you with scheduling your clients.  SNIRK.com

I'm still at Tville doing drill and teaching a dance class--yes, I'm officially a teacher.  I'm also starting my own website that will help you know what to wear and/or pack.  If you want to visit San Francisco, you'll have all the info on style and weather and then know what to pack for your trip.  Or if you just want an idea of what to wear on the town here in Salt Lake, it will give you the style, weather, and a couple boutiques to purchase your style from.  It will be a FREE site.  So, keep your eyes open for it within the next couple months--yay for adventure!!

Here are some pics from January:

Brennan is starting to teeth.  Look at those red cheeks and slobber.

Brennan loves reading time!

My Mr. Man loves tummy time!

Brennan's first trip to the beach.  Wasn't really a fan of that sand.

Trent took him out to the waves.

Sitting like a big boy in his Bumbo.

I just love this little guy!!

And...he can hold his own bottle.
